Jason Under the Fig Tree

Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
This painting is of my grandson Jason reading under a fig tree. The fenced in back yard keeps him safe and the arched gate is open for adventure. The constellation Auriga, the good Shepard is watching over him. The constellations: Orion, Taurus, Aries, Perseus, Gemini, Cancer, and Andromeda are also seen playing out the drama of all story -- of good verses evil, in the nighttime sky.

This really speaks to me. I spent many hours as a child either sitting and or in a tree with a book. Usually about horses or a mystery. Beautifully done as alway.

Matt, I love how your magnificent painting tells a story so effectively, as all your paintings do! Here, the viewer is drawn in, as your grandson reads of distant lands and adventures, while the nighttime sky portrays the great spiritual battle taking place. What a beautiful work of art! F/L

Matt, I can feel every inch of this wonderful. For myself there is a nostalgic memorable aspect with the warmth of the summer air, the scent of nature and they mystery of God's creation. I want to go back. F/L.

Master Randy ~ I am glad that this painting has brought sweet memories to you. Ahhhh, the mysteries of God's word, we are promised eternal life but who knows exactly the form it will take . . . I am certain, somehow, someway we will not spend eternity in these old tents of ours . . .
