The special and interesting from my look about your nice art is that you create na atmosphere in each one them, turning it single and live, and you keep or create just this wonderfull illumination that it pass a reality..and it confundes me at time ,because it dont seem that you used oil as médium, this ilusion is very cool, but it dont shows me a sad situation like others comment for here, maybe a past age..but the result is amazing. Bill.

Artist's Description

-Mother would sometimes go dancing and drinking for days at a time ... my wife tells me, of her childhood when their home was a trailer, when she and her brother would be left to care for the two younger children. When cereal and milk was the usual meal ... but sometimes there was no more milk. When the welfare money was gone, the dancing done and the drinking and beau no more, mother would return.
Now here rises Arieh, the Lion, who conquers the night sky; with shining bright star Denebola, the judge who comes, and brightest star Regulus, rendering Hydra, the snake the abhorred - judged by star Alphard, and sentenced to be vanquished and put out of the way. Crater, the cup of wrath spilled, and Corvus, raven, scavenger, bird of prey, with the star Minchar Alsugia, the deceiver torn to pieces.
But up ahead, to the right, there is light - Mother is forgiven and the deceiver is judged.

About Matt Konar

Matt Konar

Konar's work is both light and dark in subject, approaching at every turn both the whimsical and the mischievous. He uses the canvas as a stage to capture moments of love and heroism, as well as times of human folly. His characters come from real life, from songs, from poems and from stories. All the stories take place under a starry sky with the drama of the constellations. Unexpected details are presented through the book on a shelf, the image in a mirror, the wallpaper pattern, an individual leaf, and many other visual gestures waiting to be unlocked by the viewer. His technique of using glaze upon glaze creates colors that are deep, rich and vibrant. There is a profound sense of mystery, nuance, symbolism and timelessness in the...
