I can't believe I haven't seen and commented on this one yet, Matt!! It's sooooo wonderful!! I love how it shows the joy of childhood, and how you clearly set each of your children apart and showed their individual personalities/interests! Your wife and kids both must just absolutely love this!! I know I do!! It's so very personal and obviously done with so much love, which helps make it extra, extra special!!!! (And that is such an amazing tree, too!!) :))))vf

Matt -- to say that your art is a treat would be underwhelming. You are an artist who truly understands life; it joys, pitfalls, sadness and rapture. A person comfortable with himself, who celebrates life and his family. Bravo!! L/F

Thank you Bill OConnor ~ your paintings communicate the same in a wonderful but much different style.

Wow, that tree is fantastic. Looks so realistic. As usual I love your sky.
Matt Konar replied:
Thank You Barb, the behemoth tree still stands at the side of our yard - despite my dumping stove ashes at its base and accidently starting it on fire one winter, as I went to work early one morning it was very strange to see glowing red in the hollows of the tree trunk and flames to be shooting out of a hollow branch ... unfortunately when I turned on the hose all the water was frozen, but fortunately my neighbor is a fireman : ) So the great tree still stands.
