Description
Crossing the Sierras on the Lincoln Highway in the mid 1920's. The roads were narrow, landslides were common and backing up was often necessary to let another vehicle pass. This scene was inspired by the artists mother telling of a similar incident while crossing the Sierras on Tioga pass in the mid 1950's.
