Artist's Description

This is a personal painting from my years in recovery ... darkness, evil and the storms of life are on the right side while light, hope and twelve steps are on the left. The Chinese Kanji symbols on the scroll are the words for: Devil, pictorially - "secret man in the garden under the cover of trees"; Righteousness, pictorially - "I under the slain lamb"; Good Fortune, Happiness, pictorially - "one person in the garden with Shang Ti, the heavenly ruler."
